128 special trains to ferry pilgrims during Kumbh mela

The Parvani or shahi snan in Nashik is scheduled for August 29, September 13 and 18 while in Trimbakeshwar it is scheduled for August 29, September 13 and 25. The trains are scheduled to bring in pilgrims and take them back on days coinciding with the main pravani days in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.

The Central Railway has decided to run 128 special trains between Nashik Road and Aurangabad, Amravati, Daund, Itarasi and between Deolali and Wardha. These trains will be unreserved and take care of the extra rush during the kumbhmela in Nashik. The specials trains will run with 18 general second class coaches, said Central Railway officials.
The Parvani or shahi snan in Nashik is scheduled for August 29, September 13 and 18 while in Trimbakeshwar it is scheduled for August 29, September 13 and 25. The trains are scheduled to bring in pilgrims and take them back on days coinciding with the main pravani days in Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
The train between Deolali and Wardha, number 01252, will leave Wardha station at 6.40 pm on August 29 and 30 and then on September 14, 18, 19, 25, 26.

Deolali to Wardha
The 01251 Kumbhmela special train will carry pilgrims back to Wardha from Deolali and at 6.10 am on August 30, 31 and September 15, 19, 20, 26 and 27. The train will make16 trips in total and will halt at Nashik Road, Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Varangaon, Bodwad, Malkapur, Nandura, Jalamb, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Chandur, Dhamangaon and Pulgaon before reaching Wardha.

Nashik Road to Aurangbad
The Nashik Road-Augrangabad train number 01254 will also make a total of 16 trips and will bring in pilgrims leaving Aurangabad at 11.50 am on August 30, 31 and September, 14, 15, 19, 20, 26 and 27. It will arrive at Nashik at 4.30 pm the same day.
The 01253 Special will carry pilgrims back and leave Nasik Road at 07.20 am on August 30, 31 and September 14, 15, 19, 20, 26 and 27. It will reach Aurangabad at 11.10 am on the same day and halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nagarsol, Rotegaon, and Lasur.

Nasik Road to Aurangabad
The 01256 Special will leave Aurangabad at 12.50 am on August 30, 31 and September 1, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 making 12 trips and will arrive at Nasik Road at 05.55 am the same day.
The 01255 Nashik Road Aurangabad train special will leave Nasik Road at 5.40 pm on August 29, 30, 31 and September 13,14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 making 12 trips to bring back pilgrims. It will arrive at Aurangabad at 10.30 pm on the same day.
The train will halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nagarsol, Tarur, Rotegaon, Parsoda, Karanjgaon, Lasur, Potul and Daulatabad.

Nasik Road to Daund
The 01258 special will leave Daund at 5 am on August 29, 30, 31and Septmeber 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and will arrive at Nasik Road at 12.35 pm on the same day.
It will carry pilgrims back by th 01257 special which will leave Nasik Road at 1.55 pm on August 29, 30, 31and September 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and will arrive at Daund at 9.30 pm.
The train will halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Kopargaon, Belapur and Ahmednagar.

Nasik Road to Itarasi
Pilgrims can come to Nashik Road from Itarasi by the 01262 Special which will leave Itarsi at 05.20 am on August 30, 31and September 1, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 and will arrive at Nasik Road at 3.00 pm.
The 01261 special will leave Nasik Road at 4.10 pm on August 29, 30, 31 and September 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 and will arrive at Itarsi at 04.20 am the next day.
The train will halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Burhanpur, Nepanagar, Khandwa, Khirkiya and Harda.

Nasik Road to Itarasi
To enable pilgrims to reach Nashik for the Shahi snan the 01266 Itarasi Nashik Road Special train will leave Itarsi at 11.00 pm on August 29, 30, and Septemebr 13, 14, 18, 19, 25 and 26 and will arrive Nasik Road at 10.15 am the next day.
The 01265 Special will leave Nasik Road at 11.35 am on August 29, 30, and September 13, 14, 18, 19, 25 and 26, 2015 making a total of 16 trips and will arrive Itarsi at 11.45 pm.
The train will halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Burhanpur, Nepanagar, Khandwa, Khirkiya and Harda.

Nasik Road to Amravati
The 01268 Special train will leave Amravati at 12.35am on August 29 and Septemebr 13, 18, and 25, 2015 and will arrive at Nasik Road at 10.15 am the same day.
The 01269 Special will leave Nasik Road at 11.35 am on August 31, and September , 15, 20 and 27, 2015 and will arrive at Amravati at 7.50pm the same day. It will halt at Odha, Lasalgaon, Manmad, Nandgaon, Chalisgaon, Pachora, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Nandura, Jalamb, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur and Badnera.

New Platform
The railways has also built a separate new platform no 4 at Nashik Road railway station to accommodate the special Kumbhmela trains and the pligirms. The exit to this platform is also separate from the Sinnar phahat gate from where buses will carry the pilgrims to the inner parking and from there they will walk to the ghats on the days of Parvani. A new bridge over the tracks has been built to facilitate the movement. In addition, the platform at Maldhakka will also be used as and when needed, officials at Nashik Road railway station said.
Security has also been beefed at Railway stations and on board these trains by Maharashtra police as well as Railway police. Each will have an extra force of 500 personnel to take care of pilgrim safety, stated Narayaan Nyhalde, police Inspector incharge Nashik road railway station police.
