Sun TV Network shares down over 11% on Jayalalithaa's win

Sun TV Networks is owned by DMK chief M Karunanidhi's grand nephew, Kalanithi Maran.

Kalanithi Maran-led Sun TV Network's shares tumbled 11.30% on Thursday as Jayalalithaa's party, AIADMK led the counting in Tamil Nadu assembly elections so far.

At 1258 hours, the company's shares were down 11.30% or Rs 48.30 lower at Rs 379.25 per share.

Sun TV Networks is owned by Maran, who is the grand nephew of DMK chief M Karunanidhi. 

At about 1300 hours, AIADMK was leading with 135 seats in its kitty, with DMK at 75. 

Claiming victory, Jayalalithaa said that the outcome of the assembly elections has put an end to the family politics of DMK, ANI said.
