Practo acquires Insta Health for nearly Rs 80 crore

Online healthcare services provider Practo has acquired Insta Health Solutions for $12 million (approximately Rs 79.6 crore).

Insta Health, a cloud based hospital information company in Bengaluru, was founded by ex-Wipro President Ramesh Emani in 2008.

Insta Health's acquisition is the third one for Practo in the last six months. Before this, the company acquired FitHO, a fitness solutions portal, and Gennii, a product outsourcing firm.

Practo already has ties with 10,000 hospitals with which patients can schedule a doctor's appointment using the company's Ray software. With the latest acquisition, Practo will be able to reach many more hospitals.

Using the software, customers can also access data like medical, appointment records, and look for solutions using the digital platform.

Practo recently raised around $70 million (approximately Rs 464.8 crore) from investors that includes Russain billionare Yuri Milner and Tencent.
