Recently, Flipkart had its Big Billion Days sale which was a five-day sale where it was available for customers only through the Flipkart app.

This move by Flipkart came after Myntra went app-only in May. The company had said, "We are constantly experimenting with various aspects of our service to create the best shopping experience for our users on our app, and at Flipkart we have been following a mobile first approach."

Flipkart said that 75% of its sales were accounted from its mobile application.
