Beverages major D'lecta Café has unveiled of automatic tea brewing machine, which is expected to be first of its kind.

The company has already filed the technology for patent and plans to make the machine available in the domestic market in the coming weeks.

Tea vending machines available in the market dispense pre-mix tea comprising instant tea powder, sugar and powdered milk.

The new machine does not mix tea, but brews it through the use of a patented technology. According to the company, the quality of tea is better than vending machines, and the sugar content can be controlled.

Tea leaves of choice are infused in the machine to maximise flavour and aroma, as per the company. The company claims that the machine could dispense tea in 30 seconds, and up to 400 cups a day.
The tea can be had black, green or white, as per preference.

"Unlike coffee making, which has been seeing automation and technological advancements on an ongoing basis, tea brewing has largely remained a manual process. This is because tea brewing is
a delicate process. But with the introduction of D'lecta Tea Brewing Unit, connoisseurs will be able to enjoy their tea of choice without going through the process of manual brewing," said Deepak Jain, founder & managing director, D'lecta Foods Pvt Ltd.

It is capable of dispensing a choice of beverages including the classic Assam tea, masala tea and green tea besides also offering black coffee, pre-mixed coffee, café mocha, hot chocolate and soups. The
machine is aimed at catering to offices and workspaces.
