Flipkart announces tie-up with M&M for online bookings of KUV100

E-commerce giant Flipkart on Saturday announced an exclusive tie-up with Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) for online bookings of the newly launched KUV100. The bookings for the compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) will open from midnight January 18, the two companies said.

Anil Goteti, Vice President - Business, Flipkart said for the first time in the automobile category, the exclusive tie-up will allow Mahindra access to Flipkart's extensive reach and network to connect with their customers and provide them the ease to book Mahindra KUV100 online. Flipkart launched automobiles as a category last month.

The two entities have come together to deliver superior customer experience with assured in-a-month delivery, the companies said in a joint release.

Veejay Ram Nakra, Senior Vice President, Sales and Customer Care, Automotive Division, Mahindra  and Mahindra said, "Being two young brands, both KUV100 and Flipkart complement each other. This tie-up with Flipkart further reinforces our customer-centric initiatives."

Auto major Mahindra had on Friday launched compact SUV KUV100, targeted at the first-time car buyers and youth, with a starting price tag of Rs 4.42 lakh (ex-showroom Pune). The launch also marked the company's debut in the petrol segment.

The petrol engine debuting on the car is a 1,198 cc, 1.2-litre 'mfalcon' engine delivering an 82 bhp of power. The diesel variant also uses a 1,198 cc engine, which has also been developed a new. KUV100 is the ninth offering from Mahindra this year.
