A Full meal in theatre!
Head to Alliance Francaise this weekend to witness Full Meals, a play written and directed by Prashanth Nair and Badarivishal Kinhal, who founded the two-year-old company, Tahatto. The play consists of six short stories leaning towards light humour, but most importantly conveying strong emotional messages. Prashanth says, “We wanted to do a play that the audience can relate to, irrespective of their personal backgrounds. It consists of believable situations, humour, and inherently Indian stories. The stories are strongly instance based, with direct people to people conversations.” Much like a full and hearty Indian meal, the play offers a bit of everything that you would appreciate, is it romance, faith or even loneliness. This play has been staged twice before and after an interaction with their previous audiences, it was found that everyone was more than just satisfied. “You’ll definitely find something to take home,” says Badarivishal. After this weekend the play will be performed again in Chennai, Hyderabad and maybe even Pune. It is important to note that Rs10 from each ticket will be collected and used to provide meals to underprivileged children in a few orphanages.
