American fashion designer Tom Ford has chosen to pose with a 15-year-old model on the cover for French Vogue.

Ford, 49, had been chosen by editor Carine Roitfeld to curate the December and January issue and he chose 15-year-old Daphne Groenveld to pose next to him.

In the picture, Groenveld looks much older, and she is styled very much like early-1980s Jerry Hall, in very dark, smoky eye makeup and deep red lips.

Lauren Hutton, 62, a former model and actress is shot wearing a white suit and hat of Ford's own design -- inside the magazine.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Roitfeld said the designer loves beautiful older women, the kind that age gracefully, without plastic surgery.

"He loves beautiful wrinkles," the New York Daily News quoted Roitfeld as saying.
