Director Suri hits jackpot

Jackie has just completed 50 successful days at the box office. Trade pundits predict that it to cash in anything around Rs25 crore at the box office by the time it completes 100 days. Quite a lethal combination that they are, no wonder, the Rajkumar home banner Vajreshwari Combines has signed Suri for an indefinite one-film-every-year deal with Puneet.

Says our source, “The film’s success has especially plummeted Puneet back to his numero uno status, considering how Raaj — The Showman and Prithvi weren’t exactly blockbusters. This has reinstated confidence in the home banner to ensure Suri will be directing Puneet every year.”

Puneet confirms this news and says, “Yes, I am going to finish my film with Yogaraj Bhat (which is to be titled Paramatma) that will kickstart early next year and will embark upon my second film with Suri. The film is titled Anna Bond and it is something that will be equally exciting and entertaining as Jackie.”

Suri too is equally elated about this deal, we hear and it comes in quite in tandem with the news of his marriage. Puneet, who believes that Jackie is not as much his success as much as Suri’s, says, “This film showcased a completely different style of film-making and story-telling. I’m excited to be involved with this new wave of film-making with the likes of people like Yogaraj Bhat and Suri.”
