Try defining a trend and you might run out of words, but when it comes to making their own style statement, Bangaloreans are developing quite an eye for detail. "Style is me," aptly states Esha Hasija of Tonga Fashion House, a recently launched fashion store for women and girls, adding that individuality is Bangalore's growing style.

Ask her about the fashion conscious young women — the college-goer or the young professional — and Esha says, "There is a huge difference in style," adding, "While working women would choose a more dignified and versatile outfit and modify it with accessories befitting a night out, the college-goer's choice of is extremely casual and laidback."

Housing a varied collection in the store, it's not tough to spot the growing popularity of the LBD or the LRD in a woman's closet. "They are vital," says Esha. Accessorise it any way and one is ready for different occasions. Having read the pulse of the women in the city, Esha insists, "Bringing out the best in every woman is what my store aims at, along with keeping the latest in mind."

Be it evening dresses or casual tops and tees, they have it all.
Esha feels that choosing the right cut is what makes all the difference. "A dress should accentuate one's figure just as looking elegant is very important," she states. For her, style is all about practicality. "Irrespective of the budget, one can make a simple outfit look classy," she ends.
