Eating out may have its share of side effects but for IIT Delhi alumni Deepinder Goyal, Pankaj Chaddah, Gunjan Patidar and Amol Parashar, it has proved to be a blessing. At least that’s what they turned it into when they first floated their website foodiebay.com for all food lovers in Delhi a year ago.

What’s interesting then is that after tasting success in Delhi and launching in Kolkata as well — the quartet have now launched the Mumbai arm of the website. “Since our hostel days when we would eat out frequently and pile up the menus, wedecided to collate the information and let everyone access it all at one go,” explains Amol, who is heading the Mumbai division.

He also admits that tracking down aamchi Mumbai’s restaurants was trickier than the other two cities. “When it comes to cuisines, there seem to far more eateries here,” he points out, adding that the USP of the site is that it has menus to offer, apart from the usual reviews and ratings.

“Once you log in, you can find exactly what you want,” he points out, adding that the site is not just meant for those seeking epicurean delights.“It’s for anyone who loves adecent meal. You can search for a place as per the costs, the location, the rating and cuisine,” says Amol, who also doubles up as an actor.
