Deepika epitomises Indian beauty: Farah Khan Ali

With father Sanjay Khan, an actor turned director and mother Zarine a well-known interior designer, designing is something that comes naturally to Farah Khan Ali. 

Farah is doing a show today at the jewellery week in Mumbai. She tells DNA, “As my show is happening on Independence Day, I
created the line which is inspired from Indian heritage and craftsmanship. My collection has elements from the royal era
using polkis. They are timeless pieces.”

Adding further about the Indian jewellery market, she says, “Our market is now evolving as a designer- oriented market. People these days want the best of cars, phones, clothes, everything. They are more aware.

Jewellery is no more just an investment but also something that adds value to one’s persona. With such opportunities, we can show the world how capable India is, in being a designer destination like Italy, Milan and France.”

Talking about her show-stopper for the evening, “I know Deepika from the time she was modelling, she has walked for many of my shows earlier and we share a good rapport. Deepika epitomises Indian beauty. Large eyes, fuller mouth, curvaceous body.” She further adds, “The campaign shoot for my collection will be done with Suzanne (her sister) and my daughter Fiza by the end of the month,” she ends.
