Bond girls based on 'Playboy' bunnies: Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner has claimed that James Bond author Ian Fleming has based his Bond girls on Playboy bunnies.

The 85-year-old magazine mogul has also said that he could see the similarities between the female characters in the series and the women at his famous Playboy clubs.

"I know that Fleming was influenced by Playboy. What are Bond girls but bunnies really?" Contactmusic quoted Hefner as saying.

He also revealed he is delighted a documentary has been made about his life after a planned biopic with Robert Downey Jr fell through.
