RCA wants BCCI to release funds

At a time when states like Tamil Nadu have just concluded their premier league and preparations for Ranji matches are going on across the country, Rajasthan cricketers are still pondering over when BCCI will call off its suspension and release funds.

On the part of Nagaur district cricket association, the formalities regarding resignation of Lalit Modi are completed .

"The resignation of Lalit Modi has been forwarded to registrar office as well as BCCI , I am eager to start the cricket activities in the state", informed R S Nandhu, secretary of Nagaur as well as of RCA speaking to dna.

Meanwhile, the hearing in the ongoing case of RCA taking back the case against BCCI will now be held on August 31.

Its expected ,that this time RCA, will be submitting an undertaking that it will be taking back the case against BCCI, which were filed when Modi was the president of RCA.

The taking back of case and removal of Modi from all positions in Rajasthan cricket were said to be the two conditions which were to be met for removal of ban on RCA.

However, its just about a month and half left for Ranji fixtures. There is no action yet on the field and this is worrying the sportsperson.

By this time colvin shield matches are held and camps for selections of the players are held .

Sources inform ,that still its not too late and if after lifting the suspension, BCCI releases the funds, making use of grounds across the state , preparations for ranji can be done .

An office bearer of a district administration blamed the RCA management and said that now since Modi is not in, the ban should have been removed.
