“There have been several instances when we have been provided information by individuals about criminals who have been hiding from cops. Since it is a discreet way of sharing information, people do not have to come out in the open to inform the police about criminals. Several times the location of criminals or some vital information about them have been provided on our social media platforms and we have acted on them getting positive results. It has also strengthened our reach among the teenagers as well who use social media more than other age groups,” said Pankaj Kumar Singh, ADG crime.
