Rajasthan: New techniques can reduce heart ailments

Sudden cardiac arrest has emerged as one of the major threats to human life these days. It could be lethal if attention is not apid to abnormal heart beat. Renowned cardiologists from across the globe will gather and discuss and share the latest techniques for the treatment of such heart diseases for the next three days in Jaipur.

Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS) in collaboration with American Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) and Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS) is organising 10th IHRS annual conference from Friday. During the event a walkathon will also be organised to make people aware about the prevention of sudden deaths caused by cardiac arrest. 

“This is the for the first time when IHRS is organising this conference with the joint collaboration of American HRS and APHRS in which more than 10 guest speakers from different countries along with 25 speakers specialist from India will deliver lectures on different subjects related to heart diseases,” said Dr Jitendra Singh Makkad, senior cardiologist at EHCC Hospital Jaipur. A session of treating heart diseases through simulators will be main feature of the event, in which new cardiologist will get a chance to trained and learn how to use 3D mapping technique for the treatment of heart diseases. “Information about new techniques being use globally for heart arrhythmia, heart failure, sudden cardiac arrest, CRT and ITD will be shared. Specialists will also share the knowledge about new medicines, apparatus, devices,” said Dr Makkad.
