During his visit to Jaipur, he will set election agenda; Impart mantras to help achieve victory

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will set the tone for the party’s official campaign on August 11. On his day-long visit to Jaipur, he will set an agenda for the election and impart mantras on how to go about the campaign with the goal of achieving victory, said RPCC chief Sachin Pilot on Thursday.

“Rahul Gandhi, in his first visit to Jaipur after becoming the party president, will conduct a road show, a proposal of which has been submitted to the administration and the government. Ensuring security is the task of special protection group (SPG) and the state government agencies, our party’s target is to get him in Jaipur. After conducting a road show from Jaipur Airport to Ramlila Maidan, he would address leaders and delegates of 33 districts imparting mantras on poll victory and setting an agenda for the upcoming election. In August end his rallies too will be planned out,” Pilot told scribes at the PCC office.

He accused the BJP for creating unnecessary hype and revolving their agenda around Hindu-Muslim and Backwards vs Forwards while the government has failed to address issues concerning common men pertaining to fuel, farmers’ suicide and employment. Pilot has challenged Chief minister Vasundhara Raje to furnish employment record of 15 lakh people, who she has time and again talked about in the rallies and programmes held by the BJP. claims have got the job. Pilot reiterated that Raje is misusing government manpower to aid her Rajasthan Gaurav yatra. 

“Congress had raised the issue of Raje government misusing funds for the Yatra as it had issued orders in this regard. When we pointed this out the orders were withdrawn by the government. The government should now apologise for the same. We demand that government should send back officers and employees who have been deployed in her yatra. We are asking her to reply questions concerning daily issues faced by the public,” said Pilot.

Admin gives nod

Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s roadshow will be taken out from Tonk Road on August 11. After Congress registered protest, the administration and special protection group (SPG) officials gave consent to let the road show pass through city’s arterial route Tonk Road. Earlier, the administration wanted the roadshow to be taken out only through JLN Marg.
