While the second day of the ‘mahapadav’ called by the Bhartiya Kisan Sangh here witnessed more farmers joining the agitation, some farmers associated with Kisan Jagruti Seva Sansthan formed a human chain blocking the road for half an hour and threw onions brought with them on the road.  Amid heavy police deployment, some farmers assembled at the Rajiv Gandhi Square in the afternoon and shouted slogans against the government and its anti-farmer policies.

They brought onion loaded trolleys with them and spread the onions on road to draw attention of the government towards the low prices of the crop, compelling the farmers to take their crop to the city and sell it in retail at a low price. Coordinator of the sansthan Narayan Ram Beda said that government has turned a blind eye to the woes and needs of the farmers and has compelled them to take to  roads. After that, the farmers formed a human chain round the circle blocking the road for about half an hour. Swinging into action, police however pushed them away and cleared the road to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
