The celebrations to mark the completion of four years of the Modi government on May 26 will serve as a launch pad for the state BJP to mount a concerted campaign for coming assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Basking in the reflected glory of the achievements of Prime Minister Modi, the state BJP is organising a 15-day public contact programmes to reach out to the every section of the society.

The celebrations will see the BJP organising day-to-day functions from May 26 to May 29. A Ratri Chaupal programme will be held to connect with the villagers while the Modi marathon is aimed at wooing the youth.

Kamal Sandesh Rally will be organised to connect with the different sections of the society and prominent citizen conference will be held attract the elderly. The booth management, which has become a buzzword for the BJP, will see a massive door-to-door campaign across all 51,000 polling booths of the state. The BJP workers will go to at least 100 houses of each booth and will make aware the public about the achievements of the central and the state governments. During this time, new party members will also be enrolled. A major PR offensive will launched with various public representatives and party office-bearers holding press conferences at each district headquarters on May 26 to highlight the achievements of the central and state governments.

A booklet on achievements of both the governments will also be issued. At the same time, the women wing members will apply tilak on passengers’ forehead at railways stations and bus stands.

During this time the bus and train drivers and other staff will also be honoured. Every district unit of BJP will run a special cleanliness campaign in the temples. To strengthen the organisation, conferences will be organised at each Shakti Kendra. Meetings with beneficiaries of central and state government schemes will be organised and they will share their experiences and suggestions to make such schemes better.

The itinerary

  • Workers of the BJP women front will be applying tilak on passenger’s forehead at railways stations and bus stands in each Mandal area on May 26.
  • Special cleanliness campaign will be started on May 27.
  • On June 1, the BJP’s Youth Front BJYUM will organise the Modi Marathon. 
  • Modi Sandesh rally will be held on June 2. 
  • On May 26 to June 5, prominent citizen conference will be organized at each mandal level. 
  • Between June 4 and 5, there will be a conference at every Shakti Kendra in all 200 assembly constituencies of the state.
