Two videos of Shambhu Raigar, who shot to fame when he killed a person on camera, have gone viral. In the new videos, he claims there is a threat to his life from an inmate sharing his cell at Jodhpur jail, who he alleges is a jihadi sent to kill him.

The Jodhpur jail administration has sprung into action and launched an intensive search for the mobile on which the videos have been shot. However, the videos raise questions over security within the jail.

The two videos of Shambhu have been shot within Jodhpur Central Jail. They are of 2.26 minutes and 6.19 minutes each. The atmosphere and lighting of the video show that they have been shot during the day.

In the 2.26-minute video, Shambhu claims that he speaks from inside the jail and he is among the safest quarters. He goes on to say this could possibly be his last communication as a jihadi has been sent to share his cell, in the guise of a Hindu, to kill him. He claims the man is a drug peddler from Bengal.

The second video is a monologue of over 6 minutes. A sheet of paper can be seen reflected in Shambhu’s glasses and there is the sound of turning paper. During this video, he keeps darting glances towards his left side indicating presence of another person.

Meanwhile, an intensive search has been launched in the jail for the mobile and Shambhu’s accomplices. DIG (jails) Vikram Singh Karnavat said, “We have questioned some of the inmates and have got some concrete clues. We are taking the matter seriously and hope to reach a conclusion soon,” said Karnavat.

Meanwhile, jail authorities have removed the co-inmate from Shambhu’s cell and increased his security.
