The demand for giving martyr status to SI Mahendra Chaudhary has been accelerated.SI Mahendra Chaudhary lost his life due to a cardiac attack during a violent protest by bandh supporters in Jodhpur on Monday. Chaudhary’s family and other organizations including his community have demanded from the police and the district administration that he should be given status of martyr. Officials have assured the family that a proposal will be sent to the government.
After that, post-mortem of Chaudhary’s body was done by the Medical Board at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday. His body reached Jodhpur on Wednesday at around 3 am in the night. Later, his body was brought to the police line, where he was given floral wreaths. His last rituals were performed with state honor in his native village.
The people of the family and the community went to the district administration in this regard ion Wednesday afternoon. Akhil Bharatiya Mahasabha had placed several demands before the government on Tuesday. President Prakash Beniwal has asked for compensation of up to two crores for this. Along with this, they demanded martyr status and job for the dependents.Here in the case of attempt to murder, the police is considering of adding the section of murder. Perhaps,s the case of murder can be executed on people arrested in the attempt to murder. Earlier, in the Udai Mandir police station, the police had filed a case of attempt to murder against fifteen people, but Section 302 of murder can be added after the death of SI Mahendra Chaudhary. The police officers and employees who come under Jodhpur Police Commissionerate have announced to give their three-day salary to the family of SI Mahendra Chaudhary.
