Army chief inaugurates cadets’ hostel in city

The two-storey state of art building with cabins, recreation rooms and other modern amenities has been designed to house 200 cadets

General Bipin Rawat, ADC Chief of Army Staff inaugurated the cadets’ Hostel “CARIAPPA BLOCK” on Sunday and dedicated it to Rashtriya Military School, Ajmer. The two-storey state of art building with cabins, recreation rooms and other modern amenities has been designed to house 200 cadets.

The Chief of Army Staff also inaugurated the restored ‘Motivational Hall’, originally constructed in January, 1936. The heritage building was restored with the efforts of Old Boys Association of the school. The major contribution in the restoration has been made by Captain Kuldeep Singh Solanki, an old boy of the school. The Motivational Hall archives the names of school achievers, both in Military and Civil arenas and also showcases the rich heritage and legacy of this noble institution that has created niche for itself in the domain of creating academic excellence and future leaders.

The Chief of Army Staff also addressed the cadets of RMSA, the old boys and dignitaries. His speech was a great source of inspiration who aspire to follow in his footsteps and make a mark in the Armed Forces in times ahead. Lieutenant General DR Soni, ADC General Officer Commanding – in - Chief Southern Command, Lieutenant General RK Jagga, General Officer Commanding Konark Corps and Major General AS Chauhan, General Officer Commanding Jodhpur Sub Area were also present among other dignitaries.

Amongst ex alumni of the school, Captain Kuldeep Singh Solanki, and Lieutenant General SN Handa also graced the occasion.
