2 dead, 4 injured in road mishap

A speeding car flipped over at Mandia Road in Pali on Saturday. A young woman from Jaipur and her friend died in the car accident while 4 others were seriously injured. The accident took place when all of them were coming heading towards Jodhpur after visiting Mount Abu and Udaipur.

According to information, Jaipur resident Sonia Rathore (35), Ashi Sharma (18), Deepak (29), Tarun Bansal (26) and Nisha Negi (26) are friends. Tarun Bansal and Deepak Kumar are share traders. Deepak has an office in Jodhpur. Five days ago, they went to Mount Abu from Jaipur and after staying there one day, they reached Udaipur and were on their way to Jodhpur by car. The car was at high speed and due to this, it flipped over at the turn of the industrial zone on the Mandia Road at Jodhpur bypass. The other drivers passing through this route pulled them out of the car.

On receiving information, a team of Sadar police station reached the spot. All the injured were taken to Bangar Hospital. Nisha Negi died during the treatment. At the same time, Tarun Bansal was referred to Jodhpur in critical condition, where he too died. Ashi is a student of Class 12 and his father is a sub-inspector. The police handed both the dead bodies to their families after post-mortem.
