Of the 8 teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Rising Pune Supergiant, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore have performed the challenge.
The mannequin challenge, that was a massive craze last year, is a viral video trend where people remain frozen in action, like mannequins, as a moving camera films them.
The viral trend has been brought back from the dead in this year's Indian Premier League by Kingfisher, with the hashtag #KingfisherMannequinChallenge who challenged the Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) team to do it.
RPS's video featured captain Steve Smith and Mahendra Singh Dhoni playing a game of carom. It also featured Ajinkya Rahane, Ben Stokes, Manoj Tiwary, Ashok Dinda, Rajat Bhatia and Mayank Agarwal.
They challenged Delhi Daredevils. And in their video the team showed how they sweat it out at the gym with captain Zaheer Khan, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Amit Mishra and others.
The Delhi Daredevils challenged the Mumbai Indians. The video made by the Mumbai Indians was quite fun to watch with their frozen expressions as they play a soccer match, captain Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya appear to fight over a goal as an enraged Harbhajan Singh looks on, and Nicholas Pooran, Krunal Pandya, Mitchell Johnson, Nitish Rana and Jagadeesha Suchith are all frozen in anticipation.
The Mumbai Indians were followed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Where Captain David Warner seemed to be drawing strategies as Yuvraj Singh napped like a rebel during lectures, and Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra and Naman Ojha seemed to be messing about.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad challenged former champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders, who rose to the challenge and did the mannequin challenge next. Their video featured Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishi Dhawan, Manish Pandey and Darren Bravo. They in turn, challenged Kings XI Punjab.
Punjab's video features captain Glenn Maxwell, Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel, David Miller, Mohit Sharma and Manan Vohra. KXIP were challenged by Kolkata Knight Riders and they, in turn, have challenged Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB and Gujarat Lions are yet to perform the 'Mannequin Challenge'.
The video uploaded by Royal Challengers Bangalore featured captain Virat Kohli seemingly cheering on Chris Gayle, it also featured Shane Watson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Stuart Binny, Tymal Mills among others.
The only team left to join the bandwagon is the Gujarat Lions, and we can't wait to see what they have to say.
