Yashwant Sinha's plane develops technical problem

The six-seater private plane which carried the former union minister to Amritsar had to be grounded at Rajasansi airport due to the technical problem.

Senior leader and state BJP political affairs incharge Yashwant Sinha faced a tough time to reach here for his maiden meeting with party MLAs and ministers today as a private plane which was to carry him from Amritsar developed a technical problem.
 
The six-seater private plane which carried the former union minister to Amritsar had to be grounded at Rajasansi airport due to the technical problem.
 
Another plane was sent from Chandigarh to Amritsar to bring Sinha and others here for the meeting, Punjab BJP chief Avinash Sharma said.
 
He told PTI that the plane could not take off from Amritsar airport as it developed some problem.
 
Sinha had been recently given the charge of the party's political affairs in Punjab and Chandigarh replacing BJP leader Balbir Punj.
 
Besides having a meeting with senior BJP leaders, including ministers from Punjab, Sinha is also slated to meet chief minister Parkash Singh Badal tomorrow.
 
Even as Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leadership had been claiming that its relations with major ally BJP in Punjab are cordial, the BJP had at several occasions expressed its resentment against the Akalis for allegedly sidelining them on key issues concerning the state.
