Yagna in Patna for success of Narendra Modi’s fast

Chief minister Narendra Modi appears to have strong support in Bihar which is unable to express itself because of the hostility of chief minister Nitish Kumar to the Gujarat chief minister. On Sunday, around 2,000 people gathered at Patna’s Kargil Chowk and performed a yagna for the success of Modi’s fast. The yagna was held under the aegis of Pataliputra Nagrik Manch.

Giriraj Singh, animal husbandry minister in the Nitish Kumar government and a diehard Modi fan, was the host of the yagna. He told DNA over the phone from Patna that the religious ceremony was performed in support of Modi and for the success of his fast.  Apart from Singh, another minister, three BJP MLAs and senior office-bearers of Bihar state BJP were also present at the event.
