Goa police may have claimed that former tourism minister Fransisco Mickey Pacheco is the prime suspect in the death of his close friend Nadia Torrado but there is no mention of his name in the FIR.

Police have added a section in the FIR related to disappearance of evidence against unknown persons in the death of 28-year-old Nadia.

The state lodged the FIR under several sections relating to attempt to suicide, abetment of suicide, culpable homicide and causing disappearance of evidence.

None have been arrested in the case. Police in their affidavit filed before sessions court had said that several evidence in this case disappeared.

Crime Branch had said that another mobile used by Nadia, her laptop and other things have vanished from her house.

Police have also alleged that Nadia's mother Sonia had burnt the evidences which were linking the deceased to former Tourism Minister Pacheco.

Lyndon Monteiro, officer on special duty to the former tourism minister, has also been accused of destroying vital evidence in this case.

Nadia had allegedly consumed rat poison on May 15 at her residence in Loutolim village, 40km away from Panaji.

She was initially admitted to a private hospital in Goa and later shifted to Mumbai. She was transferred to Chennai where she breathed her last on May 30.

The postmortem report conducted on Nadia had recorded 14 injuries of which two were of serious nature apparently by a blunt object.

The Crime Branch has summoned Nadia's mother Sonia tomorrow.

Police have been constantly interrogating Nadia's family, while Pacheco and Monteiro remain missing.
