A 22-year-old woman was raped allegedly by a man in a guesthouse in central Delhi after serving her soft drink laced with sedatives, police said today.
The victim, a resident of Jasola in south Delhi, had come to meet one of her relatives in Connaught Place yesterday afternoon. She came from Gurgaon where she is working.
After meeting the relative, the official said, she went with a man to a guest house in Daryaganj where she was raped. Police received a call at around 3.30 pm.
The woman was taken to a hospital for medical examination which confirmed rape and a case was later registered.
The victim told police she did not know the man.
