Woman killed, 22 injured in bus mishap in Bihar

The accident occurred when the driver of the bus on its way to Randhi in Jharkhand from Darbhanga in Bihar lost control over it while negotiating a sharp bend, police said.

A woman was killed and 22 others injured, five them critically, when a bus overturned and fell into a road side gorge on national highway near Rajauli in Bihar's Nawada district today, police said.

The accident occurred when the driver of the bus on its way to Randhi in Jharkhand from Darbhanga in Bihar lost control over it while negotiating a sharp bend, police said.

Shanta, a woman travelling from Darbhanga, died on the spot, they said.

The injured were admitted to hospitals at Rajauli and Nawada where condition of five was stated to be critical, the police added.
