Woman dies after exorcist set her on fire in Uttar Pradesh

A woman today died after she was allegedly set on fire by an exorcist to "free her from spirits" in Narkhi area here, police said.

The 25-year-old woman was taken to the exorcist by her in-laws, ASP Daddanapl said.

The exorcist allegedly set the woman on fire in which she received 80% burn injuries. She was rushed to a hospital where she died, he said.

A case has been registered against the exorcist and another person.
