Woman commits suicide in Ghaziabad

A 29-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide today by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Indira Puram area, police said.

The deceased, Roma Khatri's husband, Yogi, an engineer and mother-in-law Darshna have been arrested on charges of demanding dowry and abetment to suicide, they said, adding Roma's body was sent for postmortem.

Police has registered a criminal case against them under sections 498 (a) and 304 (b) of IPC.

In another case, a youth Manoj Kumar allegedly committed suicide by hanging in his room in Vijay Nagar yesterday over a dispute with his wife, they said.
