Vehicle in Uttar Pradesh MLA's convoy kills two

A man and his sister were killed after a vehicle in the cavalcade of an independent MLA in Uttar Pradesh hit their bicycle on Lucknow-Allahabad national highway here today, police said.
     
A jeep in the convoy of the Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya hit the brother-sister duo while the driver tried to avert a major accident by hitting a group of people, who were also riding bicycles.
     
The accident took place near Parbat Ka Purva village in Uchahar police station area, police said.
     
Singh is representing Kunda constituency in the state assembly.
     
After ramming into the bicycle, the jeep dashed into a tree causing serious injuries to the driver who was admitted to district hospital, Rae Bareli.
