The chief magistrate of the metropolitan court on Thursday morning issued a notice to the advocates who have encroached upon the second floor of the court building, asking them to vacate the place by evening. The notice was issued through the registrar of the metropolitan court to the local bar association.

The advocates have put up their tables and chairs on the second floor. Metropolitan Magistrate Bar Association president HD Bhawaniwala said that the advocates would vacate place within two days.

According to association vice president Bharat Shah, the association has around 4,500 members and there is no sufficient space to accommodate all these advocates in the allotted area. “Hence, they were given place on the second floor. Now, we have had a word with the registrar of the court and would resolve the issue in two days,” Shah said.
