UP Congress: New members submit photographs, address, phone nos

Complying with the directives of the high command, Uttar Pradesh Congress today said that the new members have submitted their photographs, address and phone numbers to the party.
   
"So far there has not been any complaint about the membership drive from anywhere and all necessary steps are being taken to ensure that no bogus member is enrolled for which it has been made mandatory for every person applying for membership to provide photo, address and phone number," UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi told reporters here.

"We have also requested the election committee of the party to undertake random checking of membership in the districts," she said .

AICC poll team, comprising J D Sheelam and Jayadev Jena, which is here to review the membership drive which finished December 31 and expressed satisfaction over its success.
       
The poll team also gave details of the election programme fixed by the party high command according to which electoral rolls would be finalised by March 25 and in the first phase booth level elections would be completed by April 30, after which the second phase between May 15 and 31 block level elections would be completed.
   
In the third phase, city and district committee elections would be completed and between July 5 and July 25 state committee elections would be completed, they added.
