Unidentified persons break glass case of statue outside church

The glass case of a statue placed on the periphery of a church, 10 km from here, was found broken, a top police officer said today.

"Some unidentified persons broke the glass case in which statue of St Anthony had been placed on the periphery of Sacred Heart Church at Brahmavara late last night. The statue has not been damaged and is intact", superintendent of police Praveen Madhukar Pawar said.

"All efforts are being made to trace the culprits," he said.
