United Liberation Front of Asom (Ulfa) publicity secretary Mithinga Daimary is likely to be released tomorrow with a Tada court here accepting his bail bond today, but the same could not be furnished for the group's vice-chairman Pradip Gogoi.

Daimary, lodged in the Guwahati central jail since 2003, was yesterday granted bail by the Tada court in one case.

His lawyer Bijon Mahajan said documents related to the bail bond was furnished to the jail authorities. "He is likely to be released tomorrow."

The bail bond of Gogoi, however, could not be furnished today and his lawyer Maini Gogoi held discussions with him in jail.

She said it would take some time to process the bail bond as he had been granted bail in six cases by the Tada court and there were four more cases against him in the chief judicial nagistrate's court in Guwahati.

It would be filed within the next few days, she said.

The Ulfa vice-chairman was arrested in 1998 in Kolkata and Daimary by the Royal Bhutan Army during 'Operation All Clear' in 2003 and handed over to the Indian authorities.

Tada judge Soneka Bora yesterday granted bail to Gogoi in three cases and to Daimary in one against a surety of Rs1 lakh in each case.

Gogoi was granted bail in three other cases by the Tada court on February 19.
