UK visa centres in south India to be shut for 5 days in April

The last date on which the UK Visa Facilitation Services would accept new applications in Hyderabad, Kochi and Bangalore is March 30 and 31 for Chennai centre.

The British deputy high commission today said UK visa application centres across the southern region would be closed for five days next month as part of the IT system upgradation.

"The UK border agency advises customers that the visa application centres in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Bangalore will be closed from April 1 to 5 to enable an IT system upgrade as part of a global programme across all British high commissions and embassies", a British deputy high commission release in Chennai said.

The last date on which the UK Visa Facilitation Services would accept new applications in Hyderabad, Kochi and Bangalore is  March 30 and 31 for Chennai centre, it said.

The visa application centres will re-open on April 6 and those who intend to travel to the UK in April are adivsed to submit their application as soon as possible, it said.
