Two youths allegedly involved in at least 20 cases of auto-lifting and snatching were arrested in south Delhi, police said today.

Davinder Singh (22) and Sunny (23), members of 'Turani Gang' were apprehended from near Safdarjung Airport yesterday. Three stolen motorcycles and a mobile phone snatched from a TV channel cameraman were recovered from them.
    
Deputy commissioner of police (South) HGS Dhaliwal said the duo were allegedly involved in at least 20 cases of snatching, auto thefts and robbery in south Delhi and New Delhi localities.

Davinder was earlier involved in at least 12 cases while Sunny had also been involved in cases under Excise Act, he said claiming that Davinder committed all these crimes in association with one Puneet.
    
After Puneet was jailed in cases of snatching, he joined hands with young boys of a denotified tribe, Dhaliwal said.
    
"In order to keep it a separate entity from Puneet gang, he named his gang 'Turani' and also got T-shirts printed with
that name. He selected minors from the detonified tribe who can speed away in motorcycles," Dhaliwal said.
    
Out of three stolen motorcycles, he said, two are stolen from Meerut and Dehradun.
