A group of ULFA militants were spotted by a joint team of army and police at Budlabeta in the Bogpara tea estate under Doomdooma police station, police source said.

Two United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) militants were shot dead by a joint team of army and police in upper Assam's Tinsukia district today, police sources said.
A group of ULFA militants were spotted by a joint team of army and police at Budlabeta in the Bogpara tea estate under Doomdooma police station, they said.
On being challenged, the group fired on the security forces and in the ensuing encounter two ultras were killed, the sources said.
They are yet to be identified.
One pistol and three grenades have been seized from the slain militants.
