Two Telugu Desam Party activists dead in Andhra Pradesh

Following Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu's arrest in Dharmabad, Maharashtra, a party activist was declared dead here today.

M Lakshmi Narayana, 55, who was participating in TDP's protest rally in Narasaraopet town in Guntur today complained of chest pain and collapsed, according to TDP sources. He is survived by a wife and two children. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, they said.

In another tragic incident, TDP worker K Srinivas Rao,45, upset at Naidu's arrest, allegedly committed suicide at Korugallu village in Guntur yesterday, according to unofficial sources.

While confirming suicide, the police said that the reasons for his death are under investigation.
