Two persons were arrested today for allegedly killing their friend 10 days back here.
       
Rajesh Tripathi and Banti Yadav killed Rajesh Jhariya (27), a former cook of Jabalpur based Military Training Regiment (MTR) on January seven after stragulating and stabbing him in a hostel near Hitkarini Engineering College, City Superintendent of Police, Rameshwar Yadav said.

Earlier, a complaint was lodged after Jhariya went missing at the Cantonment Police Station and following investigation, the police picked up and interrogated Tripathi on the basis of the mobile calls made by the deceased, he said.

During investigation, the accused confessed that he along with his friend, Banti killed Jhariya and dumped his body in a gutter behind the college from where it was recovered today, Yadav said.
       
Tripathi told the police that he wanted some money from Jharia who had recently sold a plot for Rs around Rs 3.70 lakh, the CSP said.

To the settle score, Tripathi, along with Banti, invited the deceased to a party in a hostel and served cold drink laced with drug and killed him, he said.
