Two from the city made it to the All India Chartered Accountant's toppers list. In the all India rankings for Chartered Accountants (CA) final examination, Archit Shah, secured the third rank while Tejas Rupani came 20th. Archit scored 449 out of 800 while Tejas, who appeared for new syllabus, got 473. Moreover, two students who appeared for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) also made it in the all India rankings.

Bhagya Shah scored 184 out of 200 and Rahul Agarwal scored 182, securing the 7th and 9th rank respectively.

Archit Shah, 22, who had failed to clear his CA exams in his first attempt was determined to score well this year. "I wasn't depressed following my failure earlier. It just made me more determined. I am very happy now," said Shah.

His father is a professor with Sahajanand College while his mother is a housewife. Sharing his feelings, Archit said, "I am lucky to figure in the ranking as this year the result was very low.

But I had faith in God and myself." A BBA student from KS School of Business Management, Archit said he studied smart instead of wasting time studying the entire syllabus of 8 subjects. His future plans include taking up a corporate job and eventually setting up his own business. A student of Navkar Institute, Archit idolises his father and Hitesh Shah, director of Navkar.

Tejas, 22, cleared the CA in his first attempt. A graduate in BCom from JG college, Rupani took coaching from Arihant Institute and is presently studying MCom from HL college. His immediate future goal is to work with a reputed firm and later switch to CA practice.

On what contributed to his success he said the trick was to remain focused and not get stressed. "Give your 100% to whatever you do," he said. Rahul, meanwhile is very happy and excited to have cleared his CPT. "I believe my efforts paid off," said Rahul, a resident of Panchvati. The Xaverite plans to pursue CA as a career.

Rahul said he got immense support from his businessman father and mother who is a homemaker. Bhagya Shah, who immediately joined CPT course after his class 12 exam, is another happy student. A student of FY BCom in RJ Tibrawal, Bhagya undertook three months coaching for CPT. Bhagya said he hadn't expected to get a rank but had plans to become a CA and this was his inspiration.
