Two electrocuted in Thrissur

In a freak mishap, an 82 year-old woman and her middle-aged son were electrocuted while plucking jackfruit at Karamukku near here this morning.

The victims were identified as Kunhila and her son Joseph (55), police said.
  
The tragedy happened while Joseph was plucking jackfruit using a pole fitted with an iron hook. A live wire got entangled with the hook leading to his electrocution.

The woman, who rushed to help her son, also was electrocuted, the sources said.
