Two dead in Madhya Pradesh town after clash over minor issue

Two persons were shot dead and as many were injured following a minor dispute over taking electricity from a transformer for water supply at Nivi village in the district last night, police said today.

Family members of Jabarsingh Kushwaha and Chote Singh Kushwaha clashed over the issue and both sides opened fire at each other.

Two persons identified as Bharat Singh Kushwaha, 30, and Ganga Singh Kushwaha, 60, were shot dead in the exchange of fire while two others sustained bullet injuries following which they were admitted to the hospital, police said.

A case has been registered against the members of both the families and nearly a dozen persons were taken into custody, police said adding further probe is on.
