Two children were injured in the city since morning following bursting of fire crackers during Diwali celebrations here today.
According to Minto Ophthalmic Hospital sources, the children aged 11 and 13 years, were bystanders, who sustained injuries in their eye after some fire crackers exploded.
"One of the boys sustained serious injury on his left eye, leaving him bleeding. He has been admitted to the hospital. The extent of damange is still being evaluated and he may require surgical intervention", the sources said.
The second child also sustained injury in the left eye, which was serious in nature. He was put under medical treatment and his condition will be evaluated.
