Twelfth standard girl commits suicide in Gujarat

A girl studying in class 12 allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in the city today, police said today.
    
The incident took place when the Jalpa Patel (17) was studying in her room at her Khodiyar Colony residence, they said.
    
According to police, Jalpa hanged herself in her room while the family members were sitting in another room.
    
Police said primary investigation revealed that the girl had not performed well in her class 12 board exam that was held yesterday.
    
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation in the matter was on, they added.
