Train services on the Delhi-Ghaziabad section are expected to be partially disrupted on October 10 and 11 when Northern Railways will begin work on the final phase of Anand Vihar station before its commissioning.

The work will see the upcoming station being connected to Sahibabad station on the main line and its linking with the main railway network.

Anand Vihar terminal will be a departure point for a number of trains mostly bound to the East of the country.

"We will take up the work on October 10 and 11 as they fall on weekends to cause minimum trouble to passengers," said a railway spokesperson.

He said 20 trains will be cancelled during this period and stoppages of 37 trains have been withdrawn from Sahibabad station during this period.

No mail or express train will be cancelled during this period.

Meanwhile, Northern Railway has decided to run a special train between Nanded and Sri Ganganagar for the upcoming Guru-Ta-Gaddi festival being held in Nanded.

The train will have three trips leaving Nanded on October 15, 19 and 23 and from Sri Ganganagar on October 17, 21 and 25.
