A group of ten armed robbers looted passengers on a Delhi-bound train of their valuables. The incident was reported from the Kalka-Delhi Himalayan Queen Express last night when the train was approaching the national capital, police and railway officials said.

Eleven passengers were looted by the dacoits. Ornaments, mobiles and cash were snatched from the passengers, the officials said. Two of the dacoits were arrested though the rest of their accomplices are still on the run. According to a passenger, the dacoits boarded the train from Sonepat in Haryana at around 9:45 pm.

"They first checked the bogey and then took out knives and revolvers, covered their faces and looted us," the passenger said. The officials said the dacoits pulled the alarm chain when the train approached Holambi Kalan and fled from the spot.

"However, we managed to catch two of them later. We have recovered eight mobiles and a gold chain from them," they said. Efforts are on to nab the absconding dacoits.
