Three-year-old boy tests H1N1 positive

A three-year-old boy has been detected H1N1 positive at the SSG hospital in Vadodara on Friday. The baby was admitted at SSG on Wednesday with symptoms of Swine flu.
With this case, there are now ten H1N1 positive patients now in the city.

According to the medical superintendent of SSG hospital, Dr AK Saxena said, "The three-year-old patient from Sama-Savli road was admitted with acute symptoms of fever, and cough on Wednesday. We had taken the samples of the boy and sent it to the laboratory at Ahmedabad. Today we received the reports that confirmed he was H1N1 positive."

The boy is under treatment at the Medical nursing home, which is specially allocated for the patients suffering from H1N1 positive. According to the sources from the hospital, the child is responding to the treatment and his condition is stable.

A 49 year old female from Bharuch was admitted at the SSG hospital on Friday. The female is a resident of Vejalpur at Bharuch and was referred to SSG hospital by a private doctor, after she had undergone primary treatment. According to sources, the female had visited Mumbai two days ago. The doctors have collected the samples and sent for investigations.
