Three schoolchildren were killed and six injured today in a head-on collision between a tempo, in which they were travelling, and a truck near Bhadadar in Rajasthan's Sikar district.
All the students belonged to Kendriya Vidyalaya, police said adding the driver of the tempo was also injured.
The collision occurred at around 2pm on National Highway 11 when the students were going to their homes in the tempo.
Three students, two of them girls, were killed, and six received injuries, police said adding the dead children were aged between 10 and 12 years.
The injured students were admitted to hospitals where the condition of three of them was stated to be critical.
The truck was impounded and its driver arrested, police said.
